Refunds and Returns Policy

At Owlytic Web Solutions, we are committed to delivering high-quality digital services, including domain registration, website hosting, web design, social media management, content creation, and graphic design. This Refunds and Returns Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be requested and processed for the services we provide.


1. General Policy

Refunds are only applicable under specific conditions as outlined below. By purchasing any service, you agree to the terms set forth in this policy. Refunds will be processed within 30 days of approval and will only be issued via the original payment method used.

  • Domains: All domain-related purchases (registration, renewal, and transfers) are non-refundable, as these are final and immediately processed through third-party registrars.
  • Custom Services: Services requiring custom work, such as web design, content creation, and graphic design, are non-refundable once work has commenced.

2. Refund Eligibility by Service

Domain Registration, Renewal, and Transfers

  • Non-Refundable: All domain-related transactions are final and cannot be refunded. This includes domain registration, renewal, and transfer fees.
  • Errors in Domain Selection: Customers are advised to verify their domain choices carefully before purchase. Owlytic cannot issue refunds for incorrectly selected domain names.

Web Hosting Services

  • Refunds for web hosting services are only eligible within 7 days of purchase if no service violations or usage has occurred.
  • Suspensions and Terminations: No refunds will be issued for accounts suspended or terminated due to breaches of the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) or Terms of Service.
  • Bandwidth or Storage Overages: Overages are billed separately and are non-refundable.

Website Design and Development Services

  • Payments for website design and development services are non-refundable once the project has commenced.
  • Refunds will not be issued for dissatisfaction with approved designs or completed work.

Social Media Management and Content Creation

  • Payments for monthly social media management and content creation services are non-refundable once work has started or content has been delivered.
  • Unused portions of prepaid services are not eligible for refunds.

Graphic Design Services

  • Graphic design projects are non-refundable once work has commenced.
  • If a customer cancels a project before the first draft, a partial refund may be issued at Owlytic’s discretion, minus an administrative fee.

3. Refunds for Service Unavailability

If Owlytic Web Solutions is unable to provide a purchased service due to unavailability, a full refund will be issued within 30 days.


4. Requesting a Refund

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to hello@owlytic.co.za within the refund eligibility period (if applicable). Requests must include:

  • Proof of payment.
  • Details of the service in question.
  • A clear explanation of the reason for the refund request.

5. Non-Refundable Conditions

Refunds will not be granted in the following circumstances:

  • For violations of the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) or Terms of Service.
  • For promotional offers or discounted packages.
  • For services canceled after their renewal or delivery has occurred.
  • For administrative or transaction fees.

6. Backup and Data Responsibility

It is the customer’s responsibility to maintain current backups of all data, regardless of whether backup services are offered by Owlytic. Refunds will not be issued for data loss or downtime caused by customer negligence or failure to maintain backups.


7. Service Changes and Cancellations

  • Service Modifications: Changes to services (e.g., upgrading hosting plans) will not result in refunds for previously paid amounts.
  • Customer-Initiated Cancellations: Customers may cancel services by providing 14 days’ written notice via the online cancellation form. Refunds will not be issued for unused portions of prepaid services.
  • Owlytic-Initiated Cancellations: In cases where Owlytic cancels a service due to no fault of the customer, a pro-rated refund for unused services will be issued.

8. Force Majeure

Owlytic Web Solutions is not liable for service interruptions or cancellations caused by events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, government actions, or significant third-party failures. Refunds will not be issued under these circumstances.


9. Disputes and Resolutions

In the event of a dispute over a refund, Owlytic Web Solutions will review the case in good faith. Refund resolutions are at Owlytic’s sole discretion and in compliance with this policy.
